KO for Hunger Initiative Sets Stage for Global Action Against Food Scarcity

Ambassador David Xavier Sánchez, World Boxing Council, and Héctor Sulaimán Lead a Collaborative Effort to Drive Global Change

The Council of Global Change, led by H.E. Ambassador David Xavier Sánchez, has officially announced a groundbreaking partnership with the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the International Youth Organization to the UN (IYO/OIJ) to launch the KO for Hunger Initiative. This collaboration, co-led by H.E. Ambassador David Xavier Sánchez and security businessman Héctor Sulaimán, marks a vital step forward in the fight against global hunger.

The KO for Hunger Initiative was initially conceptualized by Ambassador David Xavier Sánchez, also known as David Daxsen, President of the Council of Global Change and Permanent Representative of the IYO to the United Nations as part of his commitment to addressing global humanitarian challenges. Through his proactive outreach and with the World Boxing Council (WBC) at the forefront, this initiative unites legendary figures like Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Canelo Álvarez in a powerful show of solidarity. Under the WBC’s leadership, these champions are not merely lending their names — they are advocates for change in a worldwide movement, channeling their influence to deliver a unified message of strength and urgency.

Recognizing the synergy between their missions, Héctor Sulaimán, a board member of the Council of Global Change, joined forces with Ambassador Sánchez. With Sulaimán’s entry into the initiative, the World Boxing Council — a major force in the boxing world and social advocacy — quickly aligned itself with the mission, leveraging its global presence to expand the reach and impact of the KO for Hunger Initiative. By combining their networks and resources, they have elevated the KO for Hunger Initiative to a global platform, amplifying its potential to make a meaningful difference in communities worldwide.

The KO for Hunger Initiative will focus on mobilizing resources, raising public awareness, and providing essential aid to combat food insecurity. The collaboration between the Council of Global Change, the World Boxing Council, and the International Youth Organization represents a powerful alliance aimed at driving sustainable change through high-profile events, innovative fundraising campaigns, and widespread community involvement. This strategic partnership is a testament to Ambassador Sánchez’s ability to foster impactful global collaborations, reinforcing the Council of Global Change’s mission to promote sustainable development and humanitarian efforts.

The World Boxing Council (WBC), a global leader in both sports and social advocacy, brings its platform to support this initiative, while the International Youth Organization continues its work to empower young leaders globally. Together with the Council of Global Change, these organizations are creating a powerful coalition for positive impact.
